  Synthetic filter media, including polyester, polypropylene, and glass fiber, provide higher filtration efficiency, longer service life, and better resistance to extreme temperatures and chemicals. For oil filters, full synthetic media can capture particles as small as 10 microns, compared to 20–30 microns for cellulose filters, reducing engine wear significantly. Air filters benefit from synthetic blends that balance airflow restriction and dust-holding capacity, improving engine performance and fuel economy.
